The European Regulation REACH about the Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals came into force since June 1, 2007.
This regulation means that chemicals substances will be subject to registration and evaluation of different implementation deadlines based on annual production volume, as well as an authorization according to their dangerousness. In addition, to be eligible for registration deadlines, these substances should pre-register from June 1, 2008 until November 30, 2008, inclusive.
It is important to know the role that each company has within the REACH regulation as it determines to have some duties or other with their economic or legal implications.
Since 2006, IGCAR is constantly training on REACH. We are also upgrading the system and our databases, including an inventory of the substances we manufacture or import, the uses, their exposure scenarios and all the available information to comply with REACH.
